Examples of ROMAC’s Design/Build Electrical Equipment Portable Units Substations Portable trailer-mounted unit substations are also very popular in the studios. Typically these assemblies range from 300 to 750 KVA and are a perfect application for our PCI mini low-break switch. The secondary section is frequently built in bull switch configuration, making the whole substation a very compact little package. Measuring as little as 7 feet long, 4 feet deep and a little over 5 feet tall, the whole unit is placed on a trailer.
