What is PEARL?Leadership In Electrical Safety In addition to being a member of NEMA, NETA, AFE, EGSA, NDA, and IEEE, ROMAC is a founding member of the Professional Electrical Apparatus Recyclers League (PEARL), a standards development organization dedicated to the safe reconditioning of industrial electrical equipment and components. PEARL also represents ROMAC’s commitment to sustainability. Reconditioning and reuse keeps finished goods in service much longer and keeps their component materials out of landfills and waste streams during their extended lifetimes. PEARL ... is an organization committed to the safe reconditioning and remanufacturing of all electrical apparatus that has previously been in service. PEARL also has inspection and test standards for surplus material, too! PEARL collects, creates, and disseminates information, policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the proper recycling and reuse of electrical power equipment. It's members must meet strict technical, safety, and operational requirements. All PEARL members are required to fully follow the PEARL reconditioning standards when utilizing the PEARL safety seal.
